Not only is it good quality material used the fabric is thick and I'm not saying it's waterproof but it might aswell be as I had some goodies I forgot about in it whilst tied up in my hair in a bun and I casually walked under a waterfall just hanging my head under it wasn't till a few minutes under the waterfall I remembered about the goodies I had in my scrunchies I rushed out from under the waterfall absolutely drenched, I took my scrunchie out my hair unzipped (the now soaking scrunchie) and low and behold my goodies in the plastic baggy was untouched completely dry!!! This matched with the longevity of the elasticity in the scrunchie for just casual everyday way you really cannot go wrong nor fault this scrunchie!!!
